The Innovation and Technology Transfer Agency (INOVA) makes a new page available on its website: PATENTARY SEARCH.
The new page aims to guide researchers to collect this type of data, required in submissions of research projects linked to CNPq calls with a technological bias.
CNPq included the item "Research on Bases of Intellectual Property" in the script of the proposals to be presented (news - CNPq:https://bit.ly/2Up97yw). For applied research, this step is essential.
Patent Search is an important step in scientific research, complementing bibliographic research, allowing:
- Check if the object to be studied has not already been resolved by the state of the art
- Identify unresolved gaps and problems
- Identify trends in technical developments
- Identify companies that are potentially interested in your research
