IFSP project stands out in national awards

Project Scientific Literacy has received two awards in the #AprenderParaPrevenir campaign

The Extension project  "Scientific Literacy to face pandemics", I Campuses São José dos Campos, was awardedo in the #AprenderParaPrevenir campaign, carried out by National Center for Monitoring and Natural Disaster Alerts (Cemaden) - research unit of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MCTI).  

The projeto participated in the campaign through a partnership with the Interactive Science Museum of the municipality of São José dos Campos and was selected by popular vote (2nd place) and on merit (decision by technical jury). For the second place in the popular vote, the prize will be an educational kit and the merit award contemplates a semi-automatic rain gauge CemadenBesides an educational kit and a trophy.  

 The 2020 campaign, coordinated by the Program Cemaden Education, with the theme “Disasters, disasters, disasters! What can we do? What about education?”Aimed to encourage the production of virtual local campaigns to raise awareness of the prevention of socio-environmental and biological disasters, including topics ranging from climate change to the pandemic. 

There were 50 works registered in the campaign, with the participation of Schools, Civil Defenses, Universitys, teams from the Family Health Program and government, civil society or collective institutions, representing 39 municipalities and 12 Brazilian states.
