IFSP elections: voting closes on the 14th at noon

Voting takes place simultaneously on all IFSP campuses from 12 noon on this Tuesday until noon on Wednesday (12); Access your voting booth here.

Due to the social distance imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, voting will take place online through the System Helios Voting. Students and civil servants must access the voting booth (virtual ballot box) on their campus through the electronic address: https://www.ifsp.edu.br/cabinesdevotacao

When will the vote be held?

The first round will take place on October 13th, starting at 12 noon, until 12 noon on the 14th, and the second round will be held on October 26th and 27th, at the same time. 

Where should I vote?

Who can vote?

All civil servants that make up the institution's permanent active staff, in probationary or not, in effective exercise until August 4, 2020, as well as all students regularly enrolled until August 4, 2020 in the courses of integrated high school, technical concurrent and subsequent to high school, undergraduate and graduate courses, face-to-face and distance learning can participate in the consultation process. 

Which positions should I vote for?

In the 2020 elections, the new IFSP rector and general directors of all campuses will be chosen, as well as advanced campuses. They are: Araraquara, Forward Ilha Solteira, Forward Jundiaí, Forward São Miguel Paulista, Forward Tupã, Avaré, Barretos, Birigui, Boituva, Bragança Paulista, Campinas, Campos do Jordão, Capivari, Caraguatatuba, Catanduva, Cubatão, Guarulhos, Hortolândia, Itapetininga , Itaquaquecetuba, Jacareí, Matão, Piracicaba, Presidente Epitácio, Registro, Salto, São Carlos, São João da Boa Vista, São José dos Campos, São Paulo - Pirituba, São Paulo, São Roque, Sertãozinho, Sorocaba, Suzano and Votuporanga. 

All civil servants and students (mentioned in the previous answer) from all IFSP campuses can vote for the position of dean. Civil servants and students (mentioned in the previous answer) can vote for candidates for director general of the campus or advanced campus where they are based or study. 

Where do I access candidates' campaigns?

Access ifsp.edu.br/eleicoes2020 and learn about the management plans of the candidates for dean. The proposals of the candidates for director general are available on the campuses' websites.

Am I required to vote?

Voting is optional, but participation by the entire IFSP community is very important.

Is the vote secret?

Yes, the online voting system adopted by the IFSP guarantees the secrecy, privacy and integrity of the votes. The system allows traceability of the vote, that is, it provides, for each voter, a traceable number of their vote, allowing them to check whether the vote has been properly cast. As an open source software is used, which can be verified by the school community and / or the external community, the system allows auditing.

When will the results be released?

The final result of the first round of elections for the choice of rector and directors-general will be announced on October 16, and for the second round, if any, it will be released on October 30.
