After having a project approved by Setec's public notice, the campus will offer training in the area
The IFSP Boituva and Guarulhos Campus were covered by the Renewable Energy Development and Energy Efficiency Program for the Federal Network for Professional, Scientific and Technological Education (EnergIF Program). The units become a Reference Center in Photovoltaic Solar Energy for training and for the formal training of multipliers in the Federal Network.
The activities are already scheduled to start on Wednesday (8), when the processes for “acquisition of laboratory equipment and assembly of teaching benches for use in teacher training and postgraduate courses” begin, explains the teacher Marcelo Shibuya, author of the Câmpus Guarulhos project, which also counted on the participation of professor Alexandre Ribeiro and with the support of the unit's management. Each of the contemplated campuses receives institutional support and an amount of R $ 200 thousand for investment in equipment.
Guarulhos has offered, since the beginning of 2019, an extension course for Installer of Photovoltaic Systems. Another course, extension of Technical Specialist in Photovoltaic Solar Energy, should be started by the end of this year. Thanks to these and other activities carried out on the campus involving photovoltaic energy, the unit was able to become a reference center.
The approval of the project by the Secretariat of Professional and Technological Education (Setec / MEC) in the program that is supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH allows Câmpus Guarulhos to offer training courses for IF teachers to teach classes in courses photovoltaic energy in its teaching units. The campus will also prepare a postgraduate course in the area. Both are scheduled to start in 2021.
All courses offered will enable residents of the region to qualify for a profession that is considered to be one of the most promising today.
The professor points out that the Reference Center is a gain for the entire Guarulhos region. “It will make it possible for the region to develop on renewable energy issues in addition to generating income for the population. All courses offered will enable residents of the region to qualify for a profession that is considered to be one of the most promising today, ”he says.
Currently, the IFSP Câmpus Guarulhos has a photovoltaic generation system in the final stage of installation. The power of the system being installed is 28,81 kWp and was the result of an energy efficiency project contemplated by the electricity distribution company. This system can be used as a demonstration system for graduate students and participants in teacher training courses.
The notice, which initially covered the Campus Guarulhos, from the IFSP, and the Campus Pesqueira, from the IFPE, was revised and also approved the Campus Boituva, from the IFSP, Poços de Caldas, from the IF Sul de Minas, and Palmas, from the IFTO. Thus, everyone becomes a Reference Center in Photovoltaic Solar Energy for training and for the formal training of multipliers in the Federal Network.
