IFSP promotes webinar with Abenge president

The event will take place on the 27th and will discuss the changes to the National Curricular Guidelines (DCN) of Engineering courses

On the 27th, at 14 pm, the Dean of Education will promote a webinar for IFSP teachers with the president of the Brazilian Association of Education in Engineering (Abenge), professor Vanderli Fava de Oliveira. The meeting will clarify doubts and discuss the amendments to the National Curricular Guidelines (DCN) for Engineering courses, established by Resolution CNE-CES No. 02, of April 24, 2019.

During the webinar, the principles and reasons that led to the conceptual changes, such as changes in knowledge, skills and appropriate teaching methodologies to be worked on in these courses, and their implementation period, with a view to training and a professional profile, will be discussed. more contemporary and better suited to the needs of society.

The presentation will be divided into two stages: one for presenting the differences between the old and new version of the DCN, lasting approximately 30 minutes, and the other for interacting with the professors of the IFSP Engineering courses, who will have the opportunity to elaborate questions and receive responses, with an estimated duration of 30 to 60 minutes.

Professors Carlos Paviotti, Diego Azevedo Siviero and Fulvio Bianco Prevot will also participate in the virtual table, who will provide support in addressing the issues.

For the Director of Graduation, Claudia Fonseca Rosès, organizer of the event, it is an extraordinary opportunity for the teachers of the IFSP. "They will be able to interact with one of the creators of the new DCN, which aim, among other objectives, to improve the quality of Engineering Education, also seeking to reduce dropout and retention in these courses", he evaluates.
