III OMIF - Mathematics Olympiad of the Federal Institutes

Between March 01, 2020 and April 10, 2020, registrations will be made for the OMIF - III Mathematical Olympiad at the Federal Institutes.

Interested parties must complete their registration, exclusively through the website of the OMIF.

OMIF is a mathematics competition aimed at students from technical education integrated to high school from institutions in the federal network of professional and technological education.

It will be held in two stages: the 1st stage will be held at the candidates' schools, on any day and time from May 4 to 9, 2020; and the 2nd phase will be held at IFMT - Campus Cuiabá - Bela Vista, starting on September 18th.

In 2020 the Olympics terThe theme "Mathematics is in everything" and the tests may present questions of mathematics in basic education, approached from the perspective of other areas of knowledge, such as exact, nature, human and languages.

According to one of the event organizers, Prof. Renato Machado Pereira, "the essence of OMIF is to be a differentiated Olympics, which promotes, in addition to an objective test of the 1st phase and a dissertation of the 2nd phase, an event with lectures, short courses, workshops, game shows, dynamics and social gatherings ".

In 2019, the event had the participation of 230 campuses of the Federal Network, totaling more than 16300 students who took the 1st phase exam.

To prepare for this year's Olympics, students will be able to access study materials that have been made available on the event's official website
